During your child’s time at BHJS there may be times when you are concerned or unsure about something. This could be something relatively minor, like lost clothing or homework, or a bigger concern about your child’s progress or wellbeing.  The most important thing to do is to share those concerns: we have plenty of people able to help.

Office Staff    The office staff are very friendly and always able to assist with all sorts of ‘routine’ aspects, from managing medical needs to payments and a host of other things. Just pop in to see them, give them a ring or send an emails. The office is staffed from 8.30 to 3.30 every day. For all general enquires please contact Mrs Helliker (Monday – Wednesday) or Mrs Hill (Wednesday pm – Friday)

Class Teacher/Teaching Assistant   Your child’s class teacher (or regular Teaching Assistant) is usually your first port of call for any questions or concerns about your child’s day-to-day school life and can be contacted via the main school email address and they will forward it on for you. If they can’t help you, please come and talk to a more senior member of staff (see below)

Senior LeadershipTeam   If your concern is more serious, or if you just want to talk to someone else, please contact a senior member of staff – Miss Maynard (SENCo), Miss Hodge (Deputy headteacher) or Mrs Serle (Headteacher). All of these can be contacted via the office.

Family Link Worker  Mrs Simons can support families in a whole host of ways, or can help with referring you on to other outside agencies.

SEN/Disabilities/Medical Needs   Miss Maynard is our SENCo, and can help with any matters relating to Special educational needs and/or disability. Contact her through the school office as normal or via email to chloe.maynard@bhjs.org.uk
