Through consultation with our parents, Governors and school staff, we have recently revisited our school vision and reinvigorated it to ensure that it truly reflects what we hold dear for our children as they continue their learning journey at the junior school and prepare themselves for secondary school.
By working together with families, wider communities and children we promote lifelong learning through:
- Having high expectations for all
- Developing the core values (Respect, responsibility, courage, kindness, positivity and resilience)
- Nurturing the whole child
- Providing a varied, creative and enriched learning opportunities
At BHJS we believe that children can achieve personal excellence through the teaching and modelling of values and skills. With children, parents staff and Governors we have developed 6 core values which will drive and shape every aspect of school life.
Our Core Values…
- Be respectful
- Be resilient
- Be positive
- Be kind
- Be courageous
- Be responsible
While these core values do not replace our school rules, they underpin how children choose to behave and the choices they make. As the year progresses, we explore each area in further depth, identifying what these values mean and helping our children to develop these values and recognise them in themselves and others.
